Manipuri dance instructor Suro Ibomcha leads a group of Kansas University students in classical Manipuri dance. Ibomcha, part of Ratan Thiyam's Chorus Repertory Theatre in "Nine Hills One Valley," which premiers tonight at 7:30 at the Lied Center at KU, led the class Tuesday in the Robinson Dance Studio. Manipuri is one of six important classical Indian dance traditions that is devotional and integrated into spiritual practice.
