The headquarters for Score Lawrence at 1026 Massachusetts St. is seen here on June 10, 2026. It will open to the public during the World Cup starting Friday, June 22.

The group organizing Lawrence’s local World Cup activities will open a pop-up headquarters during the tournament in downtown Lawrence.

Score Lawrence announced Wednesday in a press release it will open a new headquarters on Friday, June 12, at 1026 Massachusetts St. The opening of the headquarters coincides with the World Cup Fan Fest Kickoff Party hosted by The Granada, the first of six official watch parties hosted in partnership with Score Lawrence during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The space plans to serve visiting fans and locals, with features including:

• Screens streaming the World Cup matches and a live bracket for the tournament

• Score Lawrence and Team Algeria scarves available for purchase

• Lego displays built by by Limestone Community School students showcasing local history

• Artwork created by animals from the Prairie Park Nature Center

Once the headquarters opens to the public Friday, its hours will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. throughout the tournament; however, it will be closed on Wednesdays and Sundays. Its hours will be extended on the dates of the six official watch parties, which take place on June 12, June 16, June 22, June 25, June 27 and July 11.

Three of those watch parties will be hosted on dates when the Algerian national team will play — June 16 against Argentina, June 22 against Jordan and June 27 against Austria. As the Journal-World reported, the Algerian national team arrived in Lawrence on Monday and will practice at Rock Chalk Park during the tournament.

Ruth DeWitt, the director of community relations for Explore Lawrence, said in a statement that the new headquarters is a place to “connect with the many ways Lawrence is welcoming Team Algeria” and hopes visiting fans of “Les Fennecs” feel it is a “home away from home.”
