Wild Art, October 2006

Dancers from the Bayanihan Philippine National Dance Company perform authentic Filipino steps at the Lied Center. The dance company, which was launched 50 years ago to preserve indigenous art and culture, is credited with awakening Filipinos to take pride in their cultural heritage. The performing arts center at Kansas University was transformed by Filipino music, dance, costumes and folklore on Friday.
