Great shop! The owner was there and was very helpful. The other staff were nice too. My boys love their new boards. Also, this shop is a Lawrence GB merchant so that makes it even better. Keep up the good work here in Lawrence. It's nice to have a local skate shop close by.
We moved in July of this year and chose this company based on a friend's experience. Everything up until moving day was. The customer service was good, the price (on paper) looked reasonable. The problem was on the day of the move. They crew was late, and they did call me after the fact, to tell me. When they arrived, there were two guys (small, gangly guys that hardly looked like they would be able to move everything in my house). Upon arriving, the one that seemed to be in charge notified me that the assistant wasn't told he was working that day so that was why they were late. They started moving and shortly thereafter the assistant, looking unwell, said he really wished he had known he was working because he wouldn't have drank so much the night before. Needless to say he was dragging (and taking lots of breaks). I appreciated the lead guy because he wasn't happy about the situation and really tried to make up for the other guy. They got everything moved, though it took longer (and cost more) than expected. The hung-over guy was so beat by the end of the move that he couldn't help bring my treadmill in so they left it on the back porch. The lead guy apologized and did offer to come back later when my husband got home to help bring it in. Nothing was broken and overall it was a success. I probably wouldn't use them again though.
I went here for the first time last week and must say it was the best $11.99 (plus tax) I have spent on a car wash. The auto washes at the gas stations are upwards of $7 and $8. For a little over $12 they vacuum, wash the exterior, wipe down the interior, clean your windows in and out, clean the door jambs, hand dry, and give you an air freshener of your choice. Can't beat that and it took them a fraction of the time it would've taken me. I will be back for sure.
I recently discovered the goodness that is Biemer's BBQ. Excellent food and good service. It can get a little expensive, but i usually try to go with the special combo on the board. I've never been disappointed. My favorite is the pulled pork sandwich and their regular sauce.
I was very pleased with GTM when ordering some T-shirts for our small business. The selection of items is great, they use quality materials, the prices are competitive, and their turn around time was faster than expected. I was told it would take close to 3 weeks to have the finished product in hand, but in reality it took half of that time. I also like that they save your information so that you can quickly order and pay online at a later date without having to re-approve the artwork.
This is my favorite do it yourself car wash on the east side. There's rarely a line, it's always clean, the vacuums actually work, AND I can swipe my card to pay (because I never have enough quarters). I don't really live near this location, but I'll head that way when my car is in need of a cleaning.
If you don't know what the LGB program is, you've gotta check it out. I have been introduced to so many different local businesses because of this program. You basically use your card at any of the participating merchants and you earn money for a charity of your choice. It is a great thing for Lawrence!!
We've used this company for a couple of years now and have been very happy with their service. They provide an option to pre-pay to lock in on the current propane price and they will even let you pay in installments over 4 months if that works better for you.
Love this place - we go in the left side with Jay and the ladies. I take my boys here on a regular basis. Sometimes there is a wait, but its not bad at all. They also often have a coupon in The Hawk Sheet which makes it all the better. Also, a most excellent place for women to buy their product. Can't beat $10 for a liter.
I decided to try out this salon based on their Lawrence GiveBack status. I went and despite the stylist being a little late, I was impressed. Everyone loved the cut and color. It was a little more than I was used to paying, but the GiveBack aspect made it worth it.
We absolutely love this place. We've held birthday parties here and often go just for the fun of it on the weekends. Its a great place for both kids and adults to wind down and create your own personal piece of art. Its really almost therapeutic.
The most delicious bread ever!! We usually stop in once a week to get our bakery fresh sliced bread and sometimes splurge on the cinnamon chip bread or their fresh baked cookies. They will even give you a slice of bread to try while your making your selections.
So tasty. We get the chicken and broccoli (which is not officially on the menu board) and the sesame chicken. Great value for what you get and it is always prepared to order. We may have to wait a few extra minutes in the drive-thru lane, but it is worth it.
I really enjoy this place for drinks and appetizers/small plates. I have yet to eat dinner here, but I will sometime soon. The bar staff is friendly and can serve up excellent drinks. The bar menu is affordable and delicious. The Crispy Crab Rolls are my favorite! I also look forward to their seasonal changes on their specialty drink menu.
We used this company to have our garage door opener repaired. Personable and professional and the repair was completed quickly once the part was received. Seemed a bit expensive to me, but it was cheaper than replacing the unit.
We've used this company a couple of times now. Simply put is that you call, they bid, you accept, and one day you come home and the work has been done. I like that I don't have to be home when they are working and that they just send me the bill.
We really like these guys. We've used them a few times, most recently to replace the flex section on my Honda. They know what they are doing, can usually get you in and out pretty quickly, and their prices are reasonable.
