We are dedicated to provide the most gentle hands-on chiropractic care to both pregnant moms and children. In most births, mothers are given drugs and put into positions that compromise the natural process of birth. The mother’s spine and pelvis undergoes many changes to compensate for the growing baby and the risk of interference to her nervous system is increased. Specific chiropractic care throughout pregnancy works with enhancing nervous system function providing greater health potential for both the mother and baby. When the natural function of the mother’s body is interfered with during delivery in even the smallest way, trauma to the baby’s nervous system results.

Even in the most natural of births, there is a large amount of stress on a baby’s nervous system. We really encourage parents to have their children checked for interruption to their nervous system as soon as they can. We find it critical that all children be checked for subluxations, as we understand the long term effects of subluxation on overall health and function.

When it comes to a wellness approach there is no better time to than pregnancy. The choices that mothers-to-be make will affect the overall health of their babies in the long term. Dr. Maggie is currently pursuing her certification with the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association and has become certified in the Webster’s technique. The Webster’s technique is defined as a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment that reduces interference to the nerve system and facilitates biomechanical balance in pelvic structures, muscles and ligaments.
