Having won the Best Vegetarian Restaurant by the University Daily Kansan (2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006) and Lawrence Journal World (2004), each of the cuisines that play a role on Zen Zero's menu has its own distinctive taste and ingredients. Thai dishes, for instance, typically rely upon coconut milk, peanuts, curry, lemongrass, galangal (Thai Ginger), chilies and fresh basil. The essence is a balance between different sensations, such as sweet, sour, spicy and mild.

This place is hot spit! I enjoy a number of things from their menu but I like the #33 Nepalese chicken curry the best. True, if you hit it at a super busy time the quality could suffer a bit (rice has been over cooked once or twice or a lesser amount of meat in the dish) but still a great meal for the price. Many times I have ordered and had my food brought out to me in under 4 minutes (and it was made perfectly)

I had pad thai . . . . shudder . . . . that is quite possibly the most disgusting thing that I've ever eaten. I'm not a big fan, at all. Okay, correction, I love the shrimp chips. That's it.

Love this place. Some of the dishs are hit or miss, but the staples are to die for.
Recommend the Spring Rolls, Spring Roll Salad, Massoman Curry or the Drunken Noodles. All outstanding.
