Victim of stabbing taken to hospital

The victim of a stabbing incident Sunday afternoon was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. The victim reported being attacked in the 700 block of Arizona Street.

Task force looking at school issues

The newly created task force is beginning the process of looking at what can be done with the elementary schools in the Lawrence area. The group was created when the school board decided against closing area school. The group will have a meeting Monday night.
