Drum exhibit gets young helping hands
A new lobby exhibit at the Lied Center on the KU campus is being set up by some local seventh-graders. The exhibit examines music and culture in Japan, and helps preview the drum company that will be performing at the Lied later this year.

Spooner Hall on the KU campus will be getting a much-needed facelift this spring. A $1.1 million project is set to begin in March.

Changes ordered at salvage yard
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment ordered the salvage yard at 12th and Haskell to make immediate changes to the way it handled flammable fluids in junked cars. Complaints involving the salvage yard have been persistent since multiple fires have broken out.

Stabbing incident sends one to hospital
A victim in a Tuesday morning stabbing sent one man to the hospital. Police have yet to apprehend the suspect.

Eudora man injured in morning accident
A Eudora man was taken by air ambulance to an area hospital after crashing into a tree early Tuesday morning. The man's condition was not available Tuesday.

Information revealed in hit-and-run accident
Police have released information regarding the suspect vehicle in a January hit-and-run accident. Officials say it is a light-colored Mazda 3.

Seat belt law could bring state money
A new seat belt law could bring more money to the state. The bill would allow officers to pull drivers over for not wearing the safety restraints, which is currently illegal.

The second annual Tour of Lawrence will take place in early July. Hundreds of professional cyclists will take part in the races.

Accident sends one to hospital
A morning accident in Eudora involving a vehicle and a tree sent one person to an area hospital by way of air ambulance. The victim was reportedly in critical condition.

Lawrence man taken to LMH after being stabbed
A 24-year-old Lawrence man was taken to the hospital early Tuesday after being stabbed in the chest. Police were still looking for the suspect, who fled the scene before officers arrived.
