I used to go every week but I got tired of having to dodge the dogs people bring with them.

Westcl is correct. With no sanitation stations or hand washes and all those freeking dogs, I want nothing to do with it, not to mention not a one of them have their sales tax Id's posted and appear to be running a cash operation with the blessing of the city.

I very much enjoy the market on Vermont. The venders are super polite and the food is of good quality. I love the honey.
As for the dogs, I love those handsome, wonderful, delightful, make you feel good just to look at them....dogs. I like to stop and talk and pet each and every one. Don't be so prissy. I have been around animals all my life and been the better for it.

If I wanted to see people with dirty toes, I would watch a nat'l geographic show.

Most of the people I see there are well dressed, normal people. I doubt that you've actually been there. I go because I like fresh fruits and vegetables that aren't picked before they're ripe and allowed to rot on a grocery store shelf. The flavor and quality is much better than most of what appears in a grocery store.

I can't believe anyone who considers themselves a part of this community would attempt to belittle our beloved local farmers. How dare you, in this downtrodden economy, slander the wonderful products of your thoughtful hardworking neighbors. Quit buying junk food at national chain grocers (who, I can assure you, are doing fine in this economy) and BE A PART OF THE COMMUNITY.
If you can justify $3 on a bag of chips (~16 oz. of nothingness) then you can justify $3 on a huge winter squash, eggplant, or zucchini. $1 for a candy bar is insane. Get real people.
If we aren't around to help each other in times as tough as these, what will we do when it gets worse?
By the way, if you're tired of dodging the occasional dog, you're pitiful. Sounds like someone just looking for an excuse to complain.
