Watching the USA dominate the Olympics in men's basketball with a bunch of overpaid professionals has killed-off my interest in basketball of any type until at least January. Coach K should be ashamed to even put his name to this kind of sham!

Babboy: I'm not the angry type, just pointing out the sham men's pro basketball is in the Olympics. Actually, the whole issue of pro basketball and it's interaction with college athletes and sports programs needs to be addressed! Neither the NCAA and NBA(Stern) have the willingness to resolve the problems.

I get tired of watching athletes for other countries that train here. I think we train all the other countries athletes, basketball, etc. Well not all, but a high portion. Basketball in the Olympics is almost all NBA players, not matter what county, just eliminate the sport. Some around here still watch the baseball playoffs, interesting. Only 3%, but still surprising. Must be Cardinals fans.

KU Football, baby!. No predictions other than it's gonna be fun. I wish Coach Weis would take his butt kicking abilities over to the ticket office & get them straightened out. Still waiting for our season tix. Some friends told me they already have theirs, so I checked on the whereabouts of ours only to be told they were mailed to our former address of sixteen years ago. Yah, because when buying them online this last March, I said be sure to send them to where we used to live in 1996.
Now, c'mon, guys. Do you wanna build a fan base or not? If so, at least pretend that the first time buyers matter to you.

Right now I'm watching Sporting KC soccer (the real football), high school boys soccer and girls youth soccer over in the Heartland Soccer league. What are those other sports, besides basketball?

The day after the NCAA Basketball Championship game ends, I begin to look forward to next year's college basketball season to begin. Yes, I like other sports. But they all pale in comparison.

jhawkinsf: If KU was/were decent in football, my guess is that your answer would be different. As good as KU is in basketball, a winning football program would generate more excitement.
