No. It always tastes bad that's why I filter it.

Yes, I spend a small fortune on bottled water.

Better yet, get you own water filter. In the long run it's cheaper and smarter. For carafe water filters, Consumer Reports lists the Clear 20CWS 100A as a best buy and also recommends the Brita. They are both affordable. Get a stainless steel water bottle and your set!

Change your carbon frequently.

No I haven't drank tap water in over 20 years. Grant it when water was first bottled it probably was REAL Spring water, but now aday most natural Springs have been contaminated in this country due to industry and other chemical runoffs. That now it is filtered water, which I'd like to believe is better filtered then our own tap water is. So I just bath in our tap water, use it for plants and grass but I won't drink it unless I boil it first.

I just add more bourbon

A good tactic. George Dickel is my preference. How about you? Yeah, that's right, let's highjack this thread to a bourbon discussion, kids.

I didn't start filtering city water until I moved to Lawrence in '92, but I don't know if that counts as a yes or a no.
sunshine_noise 2 years, 8 months ago
When I first moved here and took a look at the Kansas River and was told that was where we got our tap water I almost freaked. I thought the Potomac River was discussing but KAW River makes it look like a Spring. Disgraceful. Nope I'll just keep on boiling or using bottled water.

Haven't started filtering my water yet. Always tasted fine before the algae. I still drink it. I just complain a lot now. Waaaah.
dani36921 2 years, 8 months ago
We didn't start filtering our water until recently. We try to avoid any type of bottled water though. You can call us worry warts, but the whole plastic bottles in the summer time scare us. We prefer our Brita pitcher =)
sunshine_noise 2 years, 8 months ago
The Brita pitcher is made of plastic too DUH!! You can't believe everything you hear either. There is always a marketing or financial reason when they annouce crap like that. Steering consumers I call it. Well bully.
dani36921 2 years, 8 months ago
But are you telling me there is no difference in the quality or type of plastic?
jonas_opines 2 years, 8 months ago
It would take a lot more to get the water to taste as bad as the water in Beijing. Even the bottled stuff.

Whatever is on sale. Lately, it has been Kentucky Tavern.
