- In less than 48 hours, coaches and staff for the Kansas football team move into their new home. But the KU football players won’t arrive at the Anderson Family Football Complex until August. - It had to happen. Lawrence now has joined the ranks of other cities whose drivers are paying more than $4 a gallon for gas. On Tuesday, motorists filling up at the Phillips 66 gasoline station at Sixth Street and Schwarz Road were paying $4.05 for regular unleaded gasoline.
