(Web Posted Wednesday at 11:38 a.m.) Owners of the northwest Lawrence land where Wal-Mart wants to build a new store will have to wait a week for their day in court. Douglas County Judge Michael Malone this morning scheduled a 9 a.m. June 3 hearing in the case of 6Wak Land Investments LLC against the city of Lawrence.

Graves, a West Junior High School student who has limited use of the right side of his body because of cerebral palsy, told the Journal-World a gang of five or six boys approached him as he walked through a Lawrence park, asked him if he was “retarded,” then began punching and kicking him.
