As part of its "Reels of Justice Film Series," the Douglas County Law Library is screening "A Few Good Men" in the Lawrence Public Library Auditorium. It is free and open to the public. - Starring Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson, Demi Moore, and Kevin Bacon, the film tells the story of a Navy lawyer (Cruise) who is trying his first case in court. He is defending two Marines who have been accused of murdering another Marine. As he prepares the case, he begins to feel that all is not right with the case and that the whole truth is not being told. He tries to get to the bottom of things and bring the truth to light. - Directed by Rob Reiner, the film was nominated for four Academy Awards in 1993.
