Although I know I should get my carpets cleaned probably twice a year or at least once a year I have put it off for about 4 years or more and decided I'd better get it done. John came out and gave me a good overview of his method, cleaning agents and process. To be honest I was just expecting someone with a van and a long hose to do a quick 30 minute job but John was very thorough and seems to be a perfectionist, going back over a tough spot 3x until he was satisfied (I thought it looked fine on pass #1!). It dried very quickly and looks great! Definitely going to have him out again after the Holidays. Thanks, John!

John was courteous, professional, and thorough when cleaning my carpets and made them look almost like new -- even though they are cheap contractor-grade carpets from 1994. He was able to remove old pet stains and years of worn-in dirt to allow me to squeeze another year or two out of the old carpets before I absolutely have to replace them. Plus, the products he used are safe for pets and kids. When he left, the carpet had a pleasant clean smell that lingered for several days without being objectionable or overpowering. Just a nice, light scent. I've already recommended him to several friends and even recommended him to my mom, who subsequently had a similar experience with John. If I can trust John to do a good job cleaning for my own mother, I have no qualms recommending him to anyone else.

I have a serious issue with carpet recently cleaned by John. He talks the talk but I will see if he follows through and provides a remedy. Re-cleaning is not an option. Supposedly he has insurance and is bonded. I will update this with a positive or negative review when he follows through or I will let you know details about the problem.

This customer has been offered, and rejected a warrantied re-clean in order to correct a common condition known as "wicking". Wicking occurs due to heavy accumulation of soil at the base of yarns, padding, and/or underneath the padding. Wicking on looped olefin (Berber) carpets and rugs can be especially severe, but only requires a re-clean to resolve the issue. This condition can also be caused by improper carpet installation. Many times the flooring underneath the carpet and padding are not cleaned properly prior to installation according to CRI standards (http://www.carpet-rug.org/residential...).

The second issue encountered is fairly common with aged carpets. Carpet can become loose before, during, or after installation. Today, many carpets are manufactured with all synthetic materials, and have a tendency to relax even when minimal moisture is applied. These types of carpet are constructed with a synthetic primary and secondary backing; if these carpets are tight and become loose after cleaning, and do not tighten again after, the pile should be re-stretched. The "loose" condition occurs in carpet that may have not been properly installed, was not stretched during installation, or has heavy traffic on it. The customers carpet re-tightened within 72 hours after the cleaning and we can prove this with photos.

Again, we have offered a completely complementary re-clean. However, the customer has demanded new carpet. We have offered the customer a reasonable, warranty-based solution, but they have declined to have further work performed by our organization. Unfortunately, the customer has denied Crimson & Blue the opportunity to perform to their satisfaction, but we are more than willing to fulfill our obligations to our customers under our warranty program.

John did a great job of removing some old stains that had been in our carpet from before we moved in. He also made the rest of the carpets look great. He was courteous, friendly and prompt. He made sure I was satisfied with the work (did a walk through) before he left. I will definitely hire him again.

T_smith Crimson and Blue Home Care

John, the owner was prompt and delivered what he promised. He was also very friendly and answered any questions i had. He even made sure to assure me that what he used on my carpets was pet friendly as i have pets myself. It is bio-degradable and non toxic. My carpets looked bad but now they look great, almost like brand new again. I would recommend Crimson & Blue to anyone that needs a carpet cleaning
