Mr. Messinese is a 3rd Degree Black who started his training in 1992 in Yucca Valley, California. After graduating from high school, he moved to Orono Maine to attend the University of Maine. In 2007, he graduated from there with a bachelors degree in Kenesiology and Physical Education. Directly following graduation he moved here to Lawrence, Kansas to become the Chief Instructor at the Lawrence ATA Black Belt Academy. He now manages this along with his fiance, Kara Lawson. Mr. Messinese is a certified instructor, and is certified in PPCT, single Bahng Mahng Ee, and double Bahng Mahng Ee
