The Arc collaborates with its members and other interested advoacy groups to educate and encourage state legislators and other policy makers on the needs of people with developmental disabilities. Through the Disability Policy Collaboration, an affiliate of The Arc of the United States, the Arc of Douglas County offers information and adovcacy to national legislators to influence funding and public policy on disability issues.
