Poor service, bad food but had decent beer. My food was not only gross but it had a hair in it! The waitress was apologetic but never heard from the manager, they made me a new order though (and it still did not taste good) AND still charged me. That's not good customer service and I don't think I will give it another try.

Triva night and big tables. Nice menu of good eats. The wings over mac is great! the food is from sysco but made well. Get chips with the dip as an app. I have had an order lost and once burned pizza. The staff worked to make it right. They are open late and if I were into beer they make several that my friends like. Id like to. Save via coupon or with smaller plate and the tv are pretty random so that half the table basically. Have bad viewing angle. Nice to see a manager replying on lawrence marketplace. Shows good management. I would say this is one of my favorite places in west Lawrence!

I've always had great, hot food there. I've had their pizza, mac & cheese, turkey wrap, fish & chips and other dishes as well and I've always liked them. I love their beers, I have a growler I like it so much.

I love this place. The food always impresses me, and I like their drinks as well. They are pretty expensive, so as a college student, I only go there when my parents come to visit and are paying the tab. The service is usually pretty slow, but it's a laid back atmosphere so it doesn't really bother me.

Thanks hershy4690 for the review and we truly appreciate your loyalty. We do not ever want to be slow. I do know that on busy weekends we struggle to get food out to the tables in a timely manner. Please know that we are working very hard to fix this problem. In the meantime we certainly appreciate your patronage! Thanks again, Matt Llewellyn

I understand, I've worked at restaurants before. I continue to go there frequently, so it's not necessarily a bad thing! I always know when I go there I can relax and not be rushed. I actually had my 21st birthday dinner there too back in April and everyone loved it! Keep it up!

Some really nasty beer. I always get a stomach ache and explosive bowel movements from there beer!

MattLlewellyn replies...

Thank you MUHAHA for your thoughtfull comments. We actually take a great amount of pride in our craft beer. We use the finest grains and hops from all around the world. We have won awards for several of our beers. Based on your comments you probably do not enjoy craft beer at all. I can certainly appreciate that people have different tastes. With that in mind we do offer bottles of big Brewery beers. It is always our gaol to make sure that all of our guests love us. Next time you are in please talk to me and I can guide you to a beer that might be more suited to your digestive system.

Went tonight for a fish bowl and dinner. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. Food was great! I love the pub chips (which were excellent tonight) and mac and cheese, it was piping hot. The beer was yummy too.

Ho-hum at best. Over the years I have tried the place 5-7 times and each time that I order real food (steaks, pastas, burgers) I have been rather disappointed with the quailty of the food and the service. Really, if it was not for friends that use to work there I would have stopped going years ago because it really is just that bad!! Now, having said that they do a good job with foods that are hard to mess up (pizza, fries, humus, nachos, mini corndogs) and they have 2-3 killer beers (really do love the barley wine and red ale).

After 2 years I gave your business another chance to properly cook me a Hamburger. Unfortunately, your cooks still think a Hamburger should be PINK and RED inside. What a shame. This is the only place in town that practically promises a bit of food poisoning. I had a waitress bring me the wrong shot of scotch on a separate occasion and then she tried to say that I had to pay $24 for it. Come on! Customers paying for worker mistakes is WRONG!

MattLlewellyn replies...

CHKNL TL, I am so sorry that my cooks did not cook your Hamburger the way you wanted it. I can assure you that we do not want our guests to get food poisoning. We would probably not be in business very long if that was the case. Please feel free to come visit us again. I can assure you that we will not mess it up. If you wish to reveal yourself please feel free to call me at 856.2337 and we will truly guarantee that you have a great experience. Thanks Matt Llewellyn

The food is amazing as well as the atmosphere. The minute you walk in, you really get a sense of Lawrence. The servers are friendly, the service is quick, and you walk away with an overall great dining and viewing experience. It's what bar and grill places should be!
