Each time I visit Lawrence I shop at Weaver's. I like the personal service, the products and the prices. I also like the atmosphere of shopping in a department store that is not in a mall.

From the time I was a KU freshman walking downtown with a friend who spent most of her $25 allowance on Shalimar and the Christmas in the early 90s when I worked in the basement gift wrapping to the present, Weavers department store has remained a landmark institution at the corner of 9th and Mass Street. For many, the store's a one-stop shopping experience with something for everyone on their lists; in fact, when I see the year-long magic of their window displays, it seems to me they're right up there with Macy's.
