House Democratic Leader Paul Davis of Lawrence on Thursday explains a proposal by House Democrats that he says will reduce the number of illegal immigrants in Kansas. The measure would require businesses use the federal E-Verify database to confirm residency status of workers, and crack down on employers who knowingly hire undocumented immigrants.
