LMH stepping up sexual assault care
Lawrence Memorial Hospital has made improvements in the way it cares for victims of sexual assault. The hospital has treated all 18 patients in town this year as opposed to sending several cases outside the city in 2009.
Fossil hunter pushing for state fossil
A local fossil hunter is doing what he can to give Kansas an official state fossil. Kansas is one of only 10 states in the country that does not have a state fossil.
Police searching for robbery suspect
Police are looking for a man who robbed Maurice's in Lawrence while armed with a pistol. The incident is the second armed robbery in as many days.
Police investigating Taco John's robbery
Local authorities are still searching for a man involved in an armed robbery Tuesday night. The incident took place at the Taco John's restaurant on Sixth Street.
Man cited in jaywalking incident
A man struck by a vehicle while jaywalking Tuesday night was cited for the crime Wednesday. The man was treated and released from Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Baldwin City man appears in court
A Baldwin City man who was taken into custody Tuesday made his first appearance in court Wednesday. The man was charged with possession of meth and stolen property.

KU freshman earns conference honor
KU freshman Mason Finley was named the Big 12 outstanding freshman male athlete of the year. Finley is currently ranked third nationally in both the discus and shot put.
World Harmony Run trots through town
The World Harmony Run saw its torch pass through Lawrence on its national tour Wednesday. The program, which promotes peace, begins and ends in New York.
