Autistic children gain insurance coverage
A four-year fight to gain insurance for children with autism finally made some progress at the state level Monday. Leaders say there is still much work to be done. Kansas is the 18th state to require coverage for those with autism.

Suspect in KU incident appears in court
Samuel Moore, the suspect in last Friday's incident on the KU campus appeared in court Monday to face charges related to the incident. Moore's bail has been set at $18,000.

Meth ring suspects plead not guilty
Three men suspected of heading a meth ring from a Douglas County home appeared in federal court Monday. All three plead not guilty to the crimes stemming from a raid on the residence.

Abortion bill headed to Senate
The state House overturned a veto from Gov. Mark Parkinson on an abortion bill making its way through Kansas legislature. The bill would outlaw late-term abortions.

Dead batteries to blame for KU outage
Dead backup batteries were the cause of an outage that left the KU campus without internet and e-mail access last week. The batteries have been replaced and the system is back up and running.
