Lecompton store consumed by flames Monday
Multiple fire crews worked Monday to battle a fire that broke out in a Lecompton cabinet store. The store, Wood N Stuff Cabinets, has been around for nearly 30 years.

Mobile bar hits downtown streets
The Pedal Hopper, a mobile bar operated by its patrons, has been seen cruising through downtown Lawrence recently. Alcohol is not yet allowed on board the vehicle, but the owner is working to make that a reality.

Area residents celebrate disability act
Local residents with disabilities showed up at South Park Monday to celebrate the passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act, which happened 20 years ago. More than 150 people attended the event.

International students looking to make difference
Twenty international students were on the KU campus in an effort to better their leadership skills and to be better prepared to make a difference in their home countries. The students spent two and a half weeks in the program.

Water, sewer fees may not increase

K-State students without housing
College students won't be back for about a month, but students at K-State may not have a place to live. The campus is currently over capacity, with about 100 people lacking student housing.

A team of paranormal investigators were back at the Sigma Nu fraternity house one year after their initial investigation. The team was looking to finish a story it says it started to piece together last year.

A fire Monday evening made its way through a Lecompton cabinet store that has been in business for about 30 years. The cause and amount of damage have not been determined.
