LMH breaks ground on Eudora project
Lawrence Memorial Hospital was finally able to break ground on a $2.5 million project in Eudora. The construction is expected to be completed by next summer.

Special Olympians get special farewell
A crowd gathered in north Topeka to wish luck to six athletes as they boarded a bus for the Special Olympics. The athletes will travel to Lincoln, Neb., to participate in the event this weekend.

MagnaGro has laundry list of violations
An inspection of the MagnaGro facility revealed numerous fire code violations. The business was the site of a double-fatality accident back in April.

Cameras used in hopes of catching vandals
Video cameras are set up to monitor an alley behind a downtown Lawrence business. The alley was targeted by vandals who drew graffiti on the walls as recently as Tuesday.

Two seriously injured in accident
Two people sustained serious injuries in an accident Friday morning. The accident happened when a motorcycle hit a tractor that was attempting to turn.

Board releases plane crash findings
The National Transportation Safety Board released initial findings from the fatal plane crash that occurred July 1. The information released states the pilot had an engine give out.
