Police crack down on underage drinking
Lawrence police performed the first of four planned fake ID stings at local businesses Monday. The stings are part of a two-month effort to reduce underage drinking.

Homeless shelter receives extension
The homeless shelter in downtown Lawrence received a one-year extension on its operating permit. City commissioners want the shelter to move forward with new management plans.

One released in meth trafficking case
One of the three Lawrence men charged with meth trafficking was released Tuesday. The charges came after raids on an area property last week.

School board decisions yet to be made
The Lawrence school board has still not made any decisions on how it will proceed in cutting $5 million from the budget. Some are in favor of closing schools while others are opposed.

Jayhawks clinch title, break records
The Jayhawks clinched at least of share of their sixth straight Big 12 regular season title on Monday. Sherron Collins and Brady Morningstar also became the winningest four-year players in KU history.
