Above average rainfall this summer

It's been the 15th wettest summer in Lawrence history. Nearly five inches of rain have been recorded in the month of August, an inch more than average. The rain has been good for some crops but has made life difficult on local gardeners.

Two named to Wooden Award watch

Sherron Collins and Cole Aldrich were both named to the Wooden Award watch list. The Wooden Award is presented to the best player in college basketball. There are 50 players on the list, and KU is one of nine schools to have two players make the list.
