Linwood girl thriving despite stray bullet lodged in brain
In a split second, their lives were forever changed. Seven months ago, five-year-old Katherine Cook was struck in the head by a stray bullet while playing outside of her rural Linwood home. And now, she's on the road to recovery.

Jayhawks defeat Buffaloes in Saturday bout
It was a Saturday that shook up the top 25. The Missouri Tigers were upset by Oklahoma State and the No. 1 Oklahoma Sooners were knocked from their No. 1 spot by the Texas Longhorns. So, one question loomed for the Jayhawks: how would they respond after narrowly escaping Iowa State?
