- Who did Zack Greinke originally sign with?
Saturday, August 29
- There were about 11 lights removed and replaced on Kasold Drive, between Bob Billings Parkway and 23rd Street because the neighbors said the lights were too bright. Did anyone consider replacing the bulbs with a lower wattage than removing them?

Monday, August 24
- How come people don’t cook with nectarines the way they do with peaches? Nectarines are sweet and delicious, often better than peaches, but you never see nectarine pies, cobblers or other desserts.
- I’m curious to know what voters actually were asked to approve in 1994 when they approved the countywide 1 percent sales tax. Do you know?
Sunday, August 23
- In reference to an earlier Sound Off about the garbage collectors’ hours and compensation, why doesn’t the city require all employees to use a time clock? It would keep an accurate time of the hours worked and they would get paid accordingly, or do they already do that? My impression is that they don’t.
- Could you explain why President Lincoln faces to the right on the penny? All other coins show the president facing to the left.
Saturday, August 22

- Who can participate in the upcoming “Common Ground” exhibit with the Lawrence Arts Center?
Friday, August 21

Thursday, August 20
- Are there any local or area doctors, or visiting mobile health units, doing the free skin cancer screening running May through September with the Skin Cancer Association?
- I have a colleague at Kansas University who consistently misrepresents her time with her supervisor’s approval. Is there a way for me to report this anonymously? It seems like fraud.
Wednesday, August 19

Tuesday, August 18

- When is the annual Kaw Valley Farm Tour this year?
- How will the city pay for this KU football shuttle that will run from downtown to the stadium? And I remember something about the city was going to waive the fare if people showed a recent receipt from a Lawrence hotel or a Lawrence store. Is that part of the program?
Saturday, August 15
- Recently, there was an article about a KU house to be auctioned at 1043 Ind. What did KU receive as an auction price and who was the successful bidder?
- Is there a noise ordinance in Lawrence? I live in the Park West Garden Apartments. They’re cleaning the carpets and running the compressor at 10:30 p.m. Is this legal or are they breaking a code?

- Is there a law in Lawrence that prevents drivers from backing into a parking space? Does this also apply if you are at the grocery store and pull forward, so you can leave straight out?
Tuesday, August 11

- Will there be a pickin’ and fiddlin’ contest again this year? If so, when is it?
Monday, August 10
