Since the police plan to actively enforce the noise ordinance with regard to party-goers, what do they plan to do about the littering that is left behind in the yards after the party stops? The revelers go to bed. The trash stays the next day, the next week, the next month.

I'd like to know why the media is so eager to crucify former Lawrence Education Association president Wayne Kruse regarding the $97,000 in missing union dues without some answers from the association's vice president, treasurer and secretary? It seems to me this is a case of the barn door closing after the horse got out. Why didn't Kansas-National Education Assn. question the amount they were receiving before in the past year?

I have a question regarding Robert Gilmore, the blind, mentally ill homeless man who's often seen downtown, wrapped in a blanket. An article in the Journal-World said he can't be put in a state hospital if he is not a danger to himself. Well, if somebody is legally blind and walks in the street, how is that not being a danger to yourself?

I live in Prairie Ridge Estates in Eudora and when I moved in 10 years ago the city said that they were going to put parks in for the kids to play. Ten years later, my kids are 6 years old, they still have no parks on the east side of Church Street. I just wondered if there were any plans to put one in?

This morning's paper says under births, it lists actress Faye Dunaway as 64. Now, I know the movie "Bonnie and Clyde" was made in 1967 and if she is 64 today that would have made her 16 years old when they made that movie. I know she was young when the made that movie but I know she was definitely over 20 when she made that movie. I just wondered if you could clarify this situation. I've called this line before and haven't gotten an answer but I would sure like to know the truth in this case.

In a recent Sound Off you said there was no whooping cough vaccine for those older than 7. My question: What is the DPT vaccine if it isn't for diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus? I've always understood that vaccination was protection against all three diseases even though you commonly get it because you need tetanus shot.

Chancellor Robert Hemenway is now concerned about access for people with disabilities and that's great. However, the chancellor's office and various parking garages on campus do not contain automatic door openers. When will the university address these issues?

Every day I see construction equipment, like a backhoe, driving down the city streets of Lawrence. These vehicles don't have brake lights, turn signals or license plates. Are they supposed to be driving down the city of Lawrence streets, and what is the policy of the police department in ticketing or not ticketing these vehicles when the police department encounters them on the street?

I would like to know when the city is going to address the traffic flow problem at 27th and Haskell Avenue. As a Prairie Park neighborhood member, it is really bad to get out of that neighborhood at that location. If you could tell me whom to contact to discuss this with, that would be great.
