i hate to admit it but i went to home depot about 6am and picked up a couple of things. lots of shoppers, all the employees were on hand and it was a great experience. the shoppers were in good spirits and the employees appeared happy and tried very hard to help. a tip of my hat to home depot, you and your people were great

It wasn't just the crowds that kept me away; the products were low-end and I have no use for them. I also found better online deals for the stuff I do want.

We are doing cyber this year except for that special gift for a nice guy from Mass Street Music. We will pay an extra $50 there because they bend over backwards to be helpful without being hounds like the best buy flunkies.

Don't do Black Friday. Waste of my time. Most of our shopping is done. We have a couple of items left to get. Then we enjoy going downtown or to the malls and listen to the last minute shoppers say, "I told you we should have bought it when we had the chance. Now they are all out. This is your fault!!" Oh gee, where is your Christmas spirit ye last minute shoppers. Ho ho ho!!!!

once again, poorly worded poll: should include: no, not buying christmas gifts, no money in the Obama economy.

This is just plain mean and arrogant...you don't know this person's situation, they may working poor. Not like wages in this town are great. People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. If you can't say anything nice don't say it at all.

You obviously haven't read any of bearded-gnomes' posts then. Talk about plain ol' mean...
And you're defending a guy who wants Obamacare repealed because he believes that death panels will kill him.

How about an option for "Hell No, I am not about to be a part of the masses who trample each other for cheap Chinese crap. I buy American-made and from small businesses."

I braved the crowed at Walmart and it wasn't crazy and no one got trampled, but I can say the TV they sold are crap. Bought one, took it home and the picture was horrible, the sound was barely audiable. Will NEVER do that again, not because of the crowds (it wasn't bad at all), but the cheap electronics they had specially made for this purchase was crap. Walmart should be ashamed of themselves.
