If you had seen this disease and how it affects the girls and women that have it . You would change your vote and mark the YES !

This vaccine could mean that there will be a huge drop in women getting cancers.

If they are going to require it for girls, then it should be required for the boys as well. Males are carriers of HPV and even though they do not have symptoms, they still are the ones who pass it on. Be fair and require the vaccination of both. It's the best way to prevent and reduce HPV.

My girl has received it. But the State requiring it? Same question, should the State require you to be on birth control if your annual income is less than $X?

This poll was put out by LJW before the FDA approved the use of Gardisil on males. The first comment was in 2007, the FDA didn't approve it for use on males until 2009.

It is an infringement in womb rights. No way would I ever get that vaccine. Maybe in 30 years when we can see the complete long term effects. At that point I'll be too old give a care about getting it.

Gardisil and birth control have nothing to do with each other.
It is a vacinne against certain forms of cervical cancer. That is all it is. It is not an indictment on female sexuality, has nothing to do with reproductive rights and should not be made into some sort of political statement.
As for the state mandating it, they already do for girls in foster care. So, why not for the general population? Are they not as important. If I ever have a girl that is old enough to get it, she would definitely get it. I had a cervical cancer scare when I was 23 but luckily it turned out to be nothing but that isn't always the case.
And although this is cliche, if it saves one life, then it is worth it.
