Wild Art, March 2007

Albertson College of Idaho senior Tom Elias tries his hand at pi throwing, to see how many rings he can put a pi through, Wednesday afternoon during Pi Day at the college in Caldwell, Idaho. The ACI math club calls Pi Day a "celebration of irrationality," with activities including pi recitation, pi walk, pi chain, and the pi toss. Pi Day, the unofficial holiday for the infinite number that is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, is celebrated throughout the country by math enthusiasts March 14 (3.14) each year.
