Chris Dunlap, Ottawa Kansas expecting a handshake of congratulations on winning a 37-gun shoot off instead received three auspicious bows from fellow shooter Jerry Ray, California.
Chris Dunlap, Ottawa won the 2006 International Handgun Metallic Silhouette Association ( IHMSA) International Match Championship in the Unlimited Any Scope Category with an 80X80 and 9 of 10 shoot off targets, with an XP 7BR pistol. Close to 1,000 entries from Brazil, Canada and the US shot in the seven-day match at Tusco Rifle Range, New Philadelphia, OH. Dunlap's Unlimited Scoped score was one of 37 perfect scores in that category, to shot off for Championship honors on Friday July 28th.

This picture is from the 2006 KU Math and Science Center summer program. The picture is of our students and KU basketball player Julian Wright who agreed to take a picture with them after we saw him in the KU Student Union. The KU Math and Science Center is an Upward Bound program for disadvantaged high school students in Wyandotte, Shawnee, and Douglas counties. These students spent 6 weeks this summer living on KU's campus taking classes, visiting colleges, and participating in cultural activities.
