Four Kansas University professors were recognized with the Higuchi-KU Endowment Research Award, the state's highest honor for scholarly excellence. They are, from left, Susan Lunte, Ralph N. The Daisy Hill skyline could change if the Kansas Board of Regents approves a request from Kansas University to demolish McCollum Hall. Two new residence halls and a parking lot would be built on Daisy Hill as part of the project, which would cost $48.7 million.

Lawrence resident Kathy Sanders Wilson, formerly a professional food photographer with a studio in Chicago, shot more than 100 covers for Better Homes and Gardens magazine, as well as photos for food advertisements, cookbooks and recipe magazines.
