Epard/Porsh House, 1629 Hillcrest Road, features a limestone exterior, galvanized-steel decks and awnings and a Norwegian slate roof. It was completed in 1998.
Kansas Longhouse, 127 N. 1600 Road, is a 150-foot-long home built in 2004 that uses native Kansas limestone panels and narrow windows on its north side to limit exposure to wind. The home also has a sod roof, among features earning the project honors as example of green architecture.
