Emory Hubbell celebrates his 10th birthday by collecting pet food donations for the Lawrence Humane Society for the second year in a row. Emory decided to collect food and supplies from his friends for his birthday instead of asking for gifts. Emory lives in rural southwest Douglas County and is in fifth grade at Wakarusa Valley School. His parents are Kim and Pat Hubbell, who sent in the picture.
