- The Kansas University women’s basketball team let a 12-point halftime lead slip away Wednesday night in Lubbock, Texas, falling to Texas Tech 65-61, seriously damaging the Jayhawks’ suddenly budding NCAA Tournament hopes. The defeat drops KU to 15-10 overall and 4-8 in Big 12 play. Jordan Murphree scored 17 points and Dominic Seals added 12 for the Red Raiders in the second half, where Tech outscored KU 44-28 on 16-of-26 shooting. The Raiders hit 14 of their first 18 shots out of the intermission.
