(Updated Friday at 10:49 a.m.) A state constitutional amendment prohibiting same-sex marriage is now the law of the land. The State Board of Canvassers today approved the results of the April 5 election. The amendment was approved 70 percent to 30 percent. Douglas County was the only county in the state to vote against the proposal.
