Harbour Lights is a melting pot. It mixes the Lawrence blue collar, college, hipster, sports, old and young crowds. Good beer available on tap.

Liberty Hall is at the center of the Lawrence cultural scene. Good selection of hard to find films, good events, and Free State beer on tap for events or seeing a movie! Friendly staff as well.

Chalk-full of off the wall and random gifts. This store is fun to go in to, although it's expensive. If you're having trouble finding a gift for someone (or yourself, I suppose), it's definitely worth stopping in here.

Great venue. It may not be "clean," but it has hosted a ton of artists who were on the verge of hitting the big time. Definitely the heart of the Lawrence music scene.

Huge selection of KU stuff! Often decent amount of stuff on sale, as well. More than enough options if you're looking for some game day gear.

This is the only running specialty shop in lawrence. You may be able to find cheaper shoes elsewhere, but if you need advice or gear designed especially for runners, this is by far your best bet. Good selection of clothes and shoes, too.

Great Latin American food! I liked the old format, but it looks a lot nicer and less grimey inside now. Still worth it!

Good, local ice cream! Lots of variety, nice downtown vibe. Beats going to Cold Stone any day.

Excellent burgers & fries. The choices are unorthodox, but fantastic. Classic, Kobe and Smoke burgers are great, same with the sweet potato fries.
