The Sandbar opened in 1989, a relaxing tropical oasis in beautiful downtown Lawrence. We have an excellent jukebox that has every Jimmy Buffett CD recorded, along with an incredible variety of your favorite sing-along songs. Each night at 10 p.m., a live hurricane attraction blows through The Sandbar, complete with mermaids dancing on the bar and napkins flying through the air. Our signature drink, the Bahama Mama, is a refreshing fruity concoction served up with beads and trinkets. Everyone feels at home at The Sandbar!
