Through this Rotary International program a team of four non-Rotarian business and professional leaders and a Rotarian team leader are selected for an expense paid one-month visit to experience the way of life, customs, and vocational practices of a Rotary district in another country while sharing information about Kansas and the USA. A month later a team from the other country comes to our District 5710 for a similar one-month visit. The purpose of Group Study Exchange is to promote international understanding and goodwill through personal contact. While abroad, team members stay in Rotarian's' homes and have the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with professional counterparts. They also act as ambassadors by presenting programs about Kansas and the United States to groups in the host country. The Rotary Foundation pays for round trip airfare and Rotary Club members in the host country provide meals, lodging and group travel in their district. Team members pay for their own personal and incidental expenses. Adult U.S. citizens between the ages of 25 and 40 who have been engaged in their business or profession for two or more years and are living and working in northeast Kansas who are interested in applying may obtain an application form on the world wide web by downloading it from the Rotary International web site - http://www.rotary.org/RIdocuments/en_pdf/161en.pdf
