Michelle Grittmann and Shawn Howard, both of Kansas City, Missouri, were married on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Vox Theater in Kansas City. Seth Gunderson, friend of the couple, was the officiant.
The bride is the daughter of Brian and Tanya Grittmann, Brunswick, Ohio. The groom is the son of Greg and Carol Howard, Lecompton.
The bride earned Bachelor’s Degrees in journalism and mass communications in 2006 and in communication studies in 2007 from the University of Kansas. She is employed by Grey Healthcare Group in Kansas City.
The groom earned a Bachelor’s Degree in journalism and mass communications in 2007 from the University of Kansas. He is employed by AMC Theatres District Office in Kansas City, Missouri.

Dalton and Sarah Walker
Sarah Howard, Lecompton, and Dalton Walker, Bonner Springs, were married on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Grace Evangelical Presbyterian Church with Pastor John McDermott officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Greg and Carol Howard, Lecompton.
The groom is the son of James and Kimberly Walker, Bonner Springs.
The bride graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in music education from the University of Kansas in 2011. She is employed by the McLouth School District.
The groom is attending Concorde University in respiratory therapy.
The couple reside in Bonner Springs.

Ruth Ann and Don Nutt
Don and Ruth Ann Nutt, Baldwin City, celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on September 20th.
Don Nutt and Ruth Ann Yocum were married at the First Methodist Church in Osawatomie, KS on September 20th, 1942.
The Nutts moved to Baldwin City, KS in 1946 where Don attended Baker University, graduating in 1950, and the couple built their family life there from 1946 until today. Children and spouses are Mike and Denise Nutt, Chicago IL, Mark and Patty Nutt, Bedford NH, and David and Suzanne Nutt, Lawrence KS.
They have seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Samuel and Susan Crawford, Eudora, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
They were married on September 6, 1952, in Eudora, KS.
The couple have two sons and one daughter, Samuel Crawford Jr., Eudora, Richard Crawford, Great Falls, MT and Linda Abel, Eudora; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Bob and Diana Lisher announce the engagement of their daughter, Jayme Linne Lisher, to Blake Michael Savage, all of Lawrence.
The future bride is a 2003 graduate of Lawrence Free State High School. She earned a Bachelors of Science in Education in 2008 at the University of Kansas and will complete a Masters of Science in Curriculum and
Instruction from Emporia State University in May 2013. She is currently employed as a physical education teacher and assistant volleyball coach at Lawrence Free State High School.
The future groom is the son of Mike and Deby Savage, Linn. He is a 2001 graduate of Linn High School and a 2007 graduate of North Central Kansas Technical College where he received a degree in telecommunications. He is employed with Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.
The couple plan a December 15, 2012, wedding at First Presbyterian Church Lawrence.
