Dan and Dena Ward, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Karissa Pinegar, to Eric Hunter, both of Garden City.
The future bride is a 2006 graduate of Free State High School and earned a hospitality management degree from Johnson County Community College in 2010.
The future groom is the son of Sheldon and Tami Hunter, Garden City. He is a 2005 graduate of Garden City High School and earned a respiratory therapy degree from Kansas University in 2011.
The couple plan a June 2, 2012, wedding at Danforth Chapel at KU.

David Austin Rueschhoff and Haley Elyse Croghan
Lisa and David Rueschhoff, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their son, David Austin Rueschhoff, to Haley Elyse Croghan, both of Denver.
The future groom is a 2010 graduate of Colorado State University. He is a research analyst for the National Conference of State Legislatures in Denver and attends law school at the University of Denver.
The future bride is the daughter of Rose and Jeff Croghan, Longmont, Colo. She attended CSU, is pursuing a radiology career at Redrocks College, and is employed at Broomfield Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
The couple plan a June 23, 2012, wedding at Snow Mountain Ranch in Winter Park, Colo.

Miller and Shadonix
Amanda and Stephen Shadonix
Amanda Nichole Miller, Lenexa, and Stephen William Shadonix, Overland Park, were married April 28, 2012, at Prairie Baptist Church in Prairie Village, with Kyle Gardner officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Ken Miller, Independence, Mo., and Mary McLeod, Lenexa.
The groom is the son of William and Joni Shadonix, Overland Park.
Maid of honor was Emma Eckert. Best man was Eric Morrow. Bridesmaids were Lauren Miller and Jessica Storm. Groomsmen were Matt Shadonix and Jason Shadonix.
A reception followed at the church.
The bride plans to earn a bachelor’s degree in applied behavioral science at Kansas University this fall and is a child care provider in the Edna A. Hill Child Development Center at KU.
The groom is a co-manager at Little Caesars in Lawrence.
The couple reside in Lawrence.
