Matthew and Luna Ellis
Luna Celeste Novelo, Vinland, and Matthew Robert Ellis, West Valley City, Utah, were married on Dec. 18, 2010, at the historic Eccles Mansion in Ogden, Utah, with Bishop Joshua Petterson officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Jaime Novelo, Caye Caulker, Belize, and Cindy Novelo, Lawrence.
The groom is the son of David and Paula Ellis, West Valley City.
Maid of honor was Leila Novelo. Best man was Dallin Miller. Bridesmaids were Jessica Salazar, Tracie Bacon, Tessa Dick and Trishelle Rollo. Groomsmen were Kade Brower, Gavin McKenna, Cameron Harp and Jordan West. Flower girls were Rylee Astill and Gracee Astill. Ringbearer was Jeremiah Novelo. Special music was provided by the bride’s mother.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Baldwin High School and the groom is a 2007 graduate of Hunter High School in West Valley City.
The couple reside in South Weber, Utah.

Pat and Les Hannon
Les and Pat Hannon, Lawrence, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a small family celebration.
Norman Leslie “Les” Hannon and Patricia “Pat” Ann Smale were married June 2, 1951, in Claremont, Cape Town, South Africa. They first met in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
After three years in Johannesburg, they moved back to England and Les joined an industrial management consulting company. The couple moved many times on various projects in the United Kingdom. They later moved to the U.S. where Les has worked in Newark, N.J., Cumberland, Md., Kansas City, Mo., Washington Court House, Ohio, and Lawrence, as well as other international countries such as Nigeria, Quebec, Canada, Sydney, Australia, and Dublin, Ireland.
In Lawrence, Les was recruited to run the Gustin Bacon plant (later Aeroquip). In 1978, he rejoined the Richard Muther Industrial Management Consulting firm. In 1982, Les and a partner bought out the founder and formed the Leawood Consulting Group. Les retired in 2000. Pat was a homemaker. She joined the Kidney Foundation in Topeka after their son, Mike, was killed in a motorcycle accident. She spoke widely on organ donations in schools in northeast Kansas, at Kansas University and on radio, TV and print.
They have a son, Philip, Shawnee; a daughter, Sarah Hannon-Dahm, Tulsa, Ok.; and four grandchildren.

James and Lucille Eggenberger
James and Lucille Eggenberger, Lawrence, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. June 5 at the Masonic Center in Lawrence.
James Eggenberger and Lucille Brandon were married June 3, 1961, in Topeka.
Jim worked in the automobile industry and retired from General Electric Insurance. He now works part-time for the Lawrence Scottish Rite at the Lawrence Masonic Center. Lucille worked in the vital statistics department for the state of Kansas, Lawrence Clinical Laboratory, and retired from Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
They have a son, Brian, Wichita; a daughter, Brenda Fuentez and son-in-law, John, Gardner; and four grandchildren.
The couple request no gifts.

Jerry and Judy Niebaum
Jerry and Judy Niebaum, Lawrence, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with their family on June 11 in Poipu, Kauai.
They were married June 11, 1961, in Caldwell.
The couple began dating at Caldwell High School in 1956. Jerry graduated from Kansas University in 1961. He retired from KU as a computing administrator in 2004. Judy graduated from KU in 1962. She retired as an elementary teacher in the Eudora school district in 1999. They have made their home southeast of Lawrence since 1981.
The couple have a son, Richard, and daughter-in-law, Laurie Weber, Buffalo Grove, Ill.; a daughter, Jerri Clark, and son-in-law, Matt, Vancouver, Wash.; and four grandchildren.

Maurice and Betsy Joy
Betsy and Maurice Joy, Lawrence, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in June. The event will be celebrated with their children and families at a reception dinner and family reunion in Norfolk, Va.
The couple were married on June 2, 1961, in Norman, Okla., after they both graduated from the University of Oklahoma. They moved to Lawrence in 1969, where Maurice became a professor at Kansas University and taught business and finance in the School of Business.
They have three sons and daughters-in-law, Craig and Rachel, Norfolk; Scott and Ilze, Boulder, Colo.; and Kirk and Debbie, Baltimore. They also have six grandchildren.

Ritch and Cindy Price, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their son, Ritchie Price, San Luis Obispo, Calif., to Katie Budahl, Mitchell, S.D.
The future groom graduated from Kansas University in 2007.
The future bride is the daughter of Mark and Kathy Budahl, Mitchell. She graduated from South Dakota State University in 2010.
The couple plan an Aug. 6, 2011, wedding in Mitchell.

Gregory Robinson announces the engagement of his son, Brian Wills Robinson, both of Lawrence, to Ashley Cindy Cornejo, Lake Forest, Calif.
The future groom is also the son of Pamela Robinson, Minneapolis. He is a 2005 graduate of Free State High School and is currently serving in the U.S. Navy stationed in Pensacola, Fla. He is a Navy Corpsman with a surgical technician specialty designation and is also attending Pensacola State College for a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
The future bride is the daughter of Giovanni and Jeanette Cornejo, Lake Forest. She is a 2007 graduate of El Toro High School in Lake Forest and is attending Pensacola State College for a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
The couple plan a June 4, 2011, wedding in Laguna Beach, Calif.

Jerry and Brenda Little, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa D. Little, to Denny Kuennen, both of Des Moines, Iowa.
The future bride is a graduate of Lawrence High School. She earned a degree in leisure, youth, and human services from the University of Northern Iowa and is employed by Ankeny YMCA as an aquatics director.
The future groom is the son of Adrian and Marilyn Kuennen, Fort Atkinson, Iowa. He earned a degree in business administration with an emphasis in management from the University of Northern Iowa and is employed with Farmers Mutual Hail Insurance Company of Iowa as an Illinois/Wisconsin crop hail underwriter.
The couple plan an Oct. 22, 2011, wedding in Des Moines.
