Humane Society employees armed
Employees at Lawrence's Humane Society have concealed carry licenses. The employees investigates animal cruelty cases in the county and say it can sometimes be dangerous.

Couple bring in new year with baby
A happy couple welcomed in the new year with a new addition to its family. The baby, the first born in Lawrence in 2010, was a little early and doesn't yet have a name.

New year, same school budget issues
With 2010 getting into gear, the Lawrence school district is looking to resolve problems rolling over from last year. The budget will continue to be one of the biggest issues for the district.

Jayhawks lead Owl obliteration
The Temple fans chanted, "We want Kansas," after beating then No. 3 Villanova. The fans got what they asked for as the Jayhawks crushed the Owls by 32 points in their second road game of the season.
