Bill Self met with the media Wednesday afternoon to talk predominately about this Saturday's home contest with No. 8 Texas A&M. Aside from having major implications on who has the leg up in the Big 12 title race, it's a showdown between Self and close friend Billy Gillespie, who is responsible for the Aggies' quick turnaround from one of the league's worst teams to one of its top contenders.

Kansas University men's basketball coach Bill Self talks with the media following Monday's 76-56 win in Lincoln, Neb., which was never really in doubt after a one-sided first half, in which Kansas at one point led 43-8 thanks to a Nebraska drought which lasted more than 14 minutes. KU men's basketball coach Bill Self meets with the local media following Saturday's 97-74 win over Colorado, which looked much better on paper than Self was willing to admit. 13 January 2007
Bill Self met with the media outside the KU locker room following his team's 68-64 overtime squeaker in Ames, Iowa - traditionally a tough place for Jayhawk teams to leave victorious. While his team shot poorly from three-point range and the free throw line, turned the ball over a ton and couldn't find much rhythm, Brandon Rush's defense on ISU's Mike Taylor and just enough big plays down the stretch kept KU undefeated in the young conference season.
11 January 2007
Kansas University men's basketball coach Bill Self talks with the media following KU's authoritative statement to open the Big 12 season - an 87-57 waxing of No. 10 Oklahoma State.
