Members of the Lawrence Sport Bike Association took a memorial ride in honor of Josh Skipton, who was killed in a wreck on Iowa Street, and stopped at the crash site, where a cross has been placed. The group included Ahmed Alyousef, kneeling at the cross, and Matt Kaufmann, standing at center.
A groups of rowers race on the Kansa River near the Interstate 70 bridge. A rowing clinic was opened to the public Saturday at the KU Boathouse in Burcham Park. The event was hosted by the Kansas rowing team and the Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department.

Travis Schuler, Air Force with the 190th Air Refueling Wing, on Feb. 4 with an eagle feather and cedar box made by Eli Jackson. TSgt. Schuler returned from Baghdad on Jan. 28. From left are Wayne Thompson, John Conroy, Andy Yellowhair, Schuler, Allen Redbird and Jackson, all veterans as well.
