John Williams, more commonly known as Big John, enters his first year as the strength coach for the Kansas University football team. Williams has made an immediate impact on the Jayhawks.

The Israeli military says two of its troops have been lightly wounded by a mortar shell fired from Gaza. The incident came a day after Israeli troops killed a Palestinian militant who the military said was planting a bomb along the border.
