Jack Jewell, center, attends the Bronze Plaque Dedication ceremony on the 65th anniversary of the crossing of the Ludendorff Bridge over the Rhine River at Remagen, Germany, by the Ninth Infantry Division beginning March 8, 1945. He was one of seven veterans present who made the crossing. Left is his daughter, Kathy, and right is her husband, Gary Schilmoeller. Jewell, Lawrence, submitted the picture.
