Dr. Galen Van Blaricum, a General Family Dentist, has been practicing dentistry since 1980. He has lived and practiced in Lawrence since 1988.

A native Kansan, he grew up in Meade and later attended the University of Kansas where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1976. He then went on the University of Missouri to obtain a degree in Dental Surgery and graduated in 1980.

As an effort to be one of the most advanced dental providers, he attends numerous advanced dentistry programs and averages 100 hours per year of continuing education.

He has attended programs such as a five week continuum with the Pankey Institute, posterior esthetics at LVI, advanced anterior esthetics course with Dr.'s Morley and Eubank, an anterior esthetics program at Baylor University, and numerous CEREC courses (one appointment crowns and veneers) in San Diego.

Dr. Van Blaricum is affiliated with such professional dental organizations as the American Dental Association and the Kansas City Implant Study Club. He also serves on the board of Health Care Access and generously donates his time to the dental Coalition and the Douglas County Dental Clinic.

Dr. Van Blaricum and his wife, Karen, reside in Lawrence with Brett, and have 2 grown sons, Craig and Grant. His hobbies include boating, golfing, biking and following Brett to ball tournaments.
